Sorry if this may seem inappropiate, but I thought I`d better share this.

Since the close of the 'tip' in Hunters Lane, Rugby, fly-tipping in the surrounding areas has unfortunately become a problem. The quiet lanes around Barby Nortoft are generally hit week after week, with sofas, tyres, washing machines, and all other forms of junk appearing constantly. As soon as the council tidies it up, along comes more! (however, this mess shouldn`t affect any shots, at least it hasn`t done so for me yet.)

However, the other day, a car pulled into an entrance to a field just to the north of this location. I suspected fly-tipping and so after a while went to investigate. However, they were not fly-tipping, and were not taking their dog for a walk either! Shocked
A speedy retreat to another location was called for!

Let`s hope that this loctaion doesn`t get one of those reputations.....

More changes at this location.

The trees and bushes by the roadside immediately north of the road bridge have been cut down.

This now means that a good 3/4 morning shot can be had of southbound workings: see here: http://jasonrodhouse.fotopic.net/p49795265.html
and here: http://jasonrodhouse.fotopic.net/p49795266.html (you may want to zoom past the post though!)

On a downside, this shot which I took only a fortnight ago is no longer possible. The tree has now been felled

BEWARE!

The small hole in the hedge which allowed for shots of southbound freights has been opbned up more, mush to the annoyance of Mr.Farmer. Mr.Farmer continues to harrass photographers who turn up at the location, and has threatened to board up the hole. In the meantime, Lots of Doggy mess has appeared scattered around the hole in the hedge.

It appears Mr.Farmer has found a new interest in a different type of muck spreading!

Due to the developement of Phase 2 of Dirft, the road leading to this location from the A428 will be closed from July 20 2010, until at least the end of October............ By the time it reopens, the background is likely to be very different!!

Out for Liz... Cool ?

Well it sound like it's a good job we don't record smells with our cameras.

Sounds like a more industrial background for the shot in the future.

Thank you for the update.

Cheers,

Marcus
