Location notes
A flood plain viaduct on the Midland Main line just to the north of Bedford
Railway type and traffic
The line is primarily used by Midland Main Line expresses from London to Sheffield. Currently there is a mix of HSTs and Meridians.
There is a light smattering of freight on the line and there are frequent test train formations running to or from Derby.
Environment
The location is around a viaduct in rural Bedfordshire. You are more likely to encounter cows than people. The grass land is a flood plain for the Great Ouse so be prepared to get muddy feet!

Photographic notes
The location affords decent views of the fast lines in both the up and down directions. But the slow lines are at a higher level and partly shrouded by the viaduct wall.
Light is best from lunchtime onwards. The shot is only on for south facing trains, or symmetrical multiple units.
